Wilderness Camp Cook School

Class Dates

Our Wilderness Cooking School is a one week program designed to give you  a strong foundation for   cooking for outfitters, outdoor organizations, and family and friends. Topics in  this course include:   safety and sanitation procedures, meal planning, setting up wilderness cooking camps, packing and balancing kitchen equipment & food in panniers, Dutch oven cooking, solar oven cooking, cooking    with propane and wood stoves, cooking on open fires, survival cooking , cooking for different size  groups, cooking  wild game, and more. This course also includes a basic wilderness first aid course which will be conducted in the evenings. This course will be taught by members of the Glacier Chapter of the International Dutch Oven Society and will include a one year membership to the IDOS which will give you access to hundreds great Dutch Oven recipes.

IMPORTANT ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Please download the enrollment application. Print it out, complete the application, and mail it to the Bridger Institute mailing address. Also please include a check made out for a deposit of 50% of the course tuition payable to Bridger Institute with this enrollment form. I understand the remaining balance is to be paid no less than 30 days prior to the course starting date.
